Ingit Mukhopadhyay's Biography
Presently working as the Director General of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Mr. Ingit K. Mukhopadhyay has been popularizing science in India for the last 26 years. He has been a key figure in leading the science popularization movement and during his tenure till date, the NCSM has grown from a 2-unit organization to an all-India organization operating from 28 units spread all over the country.
The activities of the NCSM Science Centres functioning under the guidance of Mr. Mukhopadhyay, are receiving ever-increasing popularity, particularly among students, throughout the country. Mr. Mukhopadhyay is a member of various overseas associations working in this field including the International Programme Committee of Science Centre World Congress. He has widely travelled to many countries in connection with his work related to Science Centres.
