Exhibitions
The exhibitions held at the Fiocruz Museum of Life are the museum’s main way of communicating with different audiences. They offer a diverse and quality experience for people to acquire knowledge related to scientific and technological endeavors, leading visitors to reflect on how science is built and its historical, social, cultural, and political aspects.
Ever since its inauguration, the Museum has conceived approximately 100 long-term, temporary and/or itinerant exhibitions, as well as virtual reality experiences. Through texts, images, historical artifacts, scientific devices and interactive equipment, visitors can learn about and experience topics related to science and health.
Exhibitions are complex creations with an interdisciplinary nature, that involve professionals from different backgrounds, such as educators, museologists, researchers, designers, producers, journalists and cultural managers. All of that culminates in what we call “the visitor experience”, the focus of the entire exhibition design, development, assembly and evaluation process.
Exhibition design is a hallmark of the Fiocruz Museum of Life’s entire history, as is the conception of educational initiatives capable of raising awareness among visitors about the knowledge building, the appreciation of cultural heritage and the development of critical thinking.
